Has anyone been able to replace the LEDs on these (or the 4AA models) with newer, more efficient ones?

So why the closeout price on this? Is it too outdated? The specs at Streamlight list it as a 85 lumen light. I know those are probably inflated, but anyone know how it compares to a ProPoly 4AA Lux? My guess would be that it's got less throw and more flood. Who's got one already, and how do you like it?

They are 2 very different lights. I have both led and lux model of 4 AA types. One is thrower and the other lights up the good area 'say a picnic table' or 'work area'. Last a long long time on a set of nimh.
I use it all day to work in the attic and stuff like that. Just leave it pointing toward the work area and take it when I'm dont!

If you need a work light, that is it.

Have fun.

Hmmm . . . .

They list the flashlight's dimensions as:

Product Dimensions: 13 x 5.8 x 12.5 inches ; 9.3 ounces

Is this the size of the Packaging ?

Or did someone miss a decimal place somewhere ?
