Hi - Flashlight newbie here.
I got the MTE flashlight recently and am really happy with it. The construction is top notch, and I have been very happy dealing with Kyle at DX. There are a number of O-ring seals making the light rain proof (I haven't tested it by dunking it in water!).
I took some beamshots - the first two are at about 30 meters (the distant pile of bricks) Low mode and high mode.
The other two beamshots are at about 60 meters or so (the wall at the far distance). Low mode and High mode. (Images taken at F2.8, 1 Sec)
I really love the power of this LED flashlight, which is the first 'real' torch that I have. The only minus is the runtime but as pointed out in another thread by Ledite, you can mod this light to use a 17670 battery, and the runtime doubles.
