Well after years on not having a fever it finally hit me.
I forgot how crummy it feels and its only 101.2 F.

What is recommended for the fever to go away ASAP?

Thanks

I understand how you feel. A little over a month ago, I had my first cold in over 4 years. I'd almost forgotten how filthy and unsociable a disease it was.

Haha...

Its weird, I feel "ok" in the day but at night all hell breaks loose.
Im shaking and not because Im cold.

Just took some Advil Liquid Gels, hopefully that helps me out a little.

You have fever and chills. Fever is often higher at night. Tylenol is the favored fever reducer (as stated above), but it's always been worthless for anything I take it for.

Fever is said to be a defense mechanism of the body, for fighting infection. I try not to take anything as long as I can stand it, to let the fever do it's job. A cold shower reduces my fever rapidly, for a brief time. Easing into the cold is better than all at once.

Please note I'm not in the medical profession, so take this with a grain of salt and suspicion.

Take your temp often. People often trivialize fevers and they can often become deadly. Get Well!

So you guys & gals don't get sick to frequently, huh? Geez, I guess I've just grown accustomed to getting bronchitis twice a year. This past fall my fever was around 104*F and oddly enough, I felt fine. Well, that is besides the whole difficulty breathing thing.
