Aleph 3 LE: Found

I need some suggestions on which LE to use on an Aleph 3 I am putting together. Has to be assembled and use 2x123 or 18650, maybe a 1.5x123.
I dont know if Lux or cree would be better. Ideas? Probably will have 2 stage
tailcap. :)

Well, if you can get a LED with a low enough Vf I would think that a downboy converter should work ok. It may not stay in full regulation for very long using a single li-ion, however. This is assuming assuming you are going LuxI/III or Cree based and not a LuxV. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any .55" buck/boost converter that will accept a 3.6V input as well as handle 7.2V+ from two li-ions. Even the GD board has a max Vin of 5.4V which would be borderline for 2 primary CR123s after voltage sag.
