i have an old AAA made up of mismatched parts (one part black and one part natural green). i thought it might look better if i made it plain raw aluminum.

seeing that i can't pull the electronics out, what's the best way to remove the HA3?

i have access to a glass bead blaster.
would that work (if i am careful not to blast the reflector/LED)?
or would it remove too much metal, including the knurling?

or is there a way to "blacken" the natural HA colored part to match (in color only) the original black HA?

suggestions?

i think regular paint stripper will work. Search for a threads on this issue because there was one a while back.

I think the safest chemical for stripping anodizing is Greased Lightning. I have used this for a couple of Arc & Peak items. Only problems I can think of is protecting the Luxeon dome and the polished reflector surface on your Millermods ARC head. Whether or not the Greased Lightning would have any effect on these surfaces I don't know.
You didn't state which part was the natural ano and which was black.
I sent you a PM on a black body that I have available.
