THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this mod program. I'm glad I was able to provide a way to get some brighter flashlights into your hands at a not-too-bad price. EVERY buyer here was a pleasure to work with and held up "their end of the bargain".

For others who didn't buy, I hope I encouraged you to try some modding yourself and gave you some useful tips. (here and on other threads).

I also quietly did some mods behind the scenes when people made special requests by PM. I'm glad I could help there also.

I will probably put some more flashlights up on sale on other threads, but featuring them individually. No more pre-orders. Watch my signature for those items.

All brand new flashlights professionally upgraded from Luxeon emitters to Bright, Efficient, and Smooth-Beam Seoul P4 U-Bin W0 ("whitest tint") Emitters. This is the latest LED technology, which provides about twice as much light as the stock emitter.

The purpose of this sale is to provide some exciting product to those who really don't want to try upgrading flashlights themselves. About 1/3 of the price is for the flashlight, about 1/3 for the new emitter and installation materials, and about 1/3 goes back into the kitty for accumulating expenses like yield/prototype loss, paypal fees, equipment, and CPF donations.

Many of the flashlights are already on their way to me. On average they will be shipped about 1-3 weeks from when you order them. As a rule of thumb, the higher on the list below the sooner the flashlight will be ready to ship.

I am in the market for a 1XAA. What do you expect for runtime vs. output for your upgrade/mod on the VIPAA? Have you done one of these yet?

Runtime of the VIPPA is about 2 hours. I'll see if I can get some comparison beamshots up after the mod is completed.

I want one of these. Looks like the VINET is it. Actually when you are working on them, and the other rcr123 powered model, the LILL, if there is something about it you like better I would be happy with that model also. Otherwise a VINET is good.
I've been holding back on this for a couple days 'cause I need to find out exactly how much we are gonna owe the IRS next month. Well :mecry: boo hoo. I can't wait that long.

On the UltraFire AA/VIPPA:

1. What bettery were you using for the beamshot ?
1a. Would there be an issue using AW's Rechargeable 14500, 3.7v ?

The battery used was an AA alkaline. I don't know about using 3.7V batteries.

The model number of the VIPPA is WF-602A1. You can do a search for more info. Ultrafire made some good ones, then some cheap ones, and now they are back to good ones once again

Only time will tell how much money you cost me by selling me this headlamp!!!

This is my first exposure the the SSC P4 Ubins. WHOA!

You weren't kidding when you told me I wouldn't be disappointed in the light this headlamp puts out. Great job and thanks for doing it. I took it up the attic in my garage to try it out(wasn't quite dark outside) and I was blown away. And then I realized I had it on low!

After this, I'll never be able to look at my lux 3's the same way. I don't know whether to have them modded with the new generation of led's or start a new collection of lights being built with SSC's and Crees. Either way, my wallet is sure to shrink.
