I just received my U2 I purchased about a month ago (Thanks Tibim) and after a few measurements I started to do this:

How is it you can fit 18650s in your Pineapples? Mine will take 17670s just fine, but an 18650 is too fat.

Look at the third photo, since the U2 Head thread is male and the 18650 inhability of the E-series body its preciselly because of the top thread, once I got rid of it I had no problem boring the body to accept a 18650 and then the U2 head :nana:

I have a pineapple body waiting for your head to be finished. I see that you fitted a 18650 in this. Is that 18650 protected or unprotected?

I tried sticking my (protected 18650 2400mAh) from dealxtreme and it will not fit at all. Are you using 18650 1800mAh-2000mAh since its thinner?

The body sure matches well with the U2 head. Very nice.

This body is a modded pineapple, not the regular one. The U2 head has male thread, this allowed me to bore a bigger diameter tube. Take a close look at the pictures and you will see the difference

Will the length and diameter allow for an E series/Aleph head adapter?
It would make for another great 18650 alternative.
