I'm enjoying my L1D CE but would really like to get the 2AA body for it when it becomes available. Any updated news on when that will be and what the cost will be?

Yes I recieved a reply from david chow(fenix store.com) a few days ago stateing that the spare bodies L1D ce,&L2D ce would be available mid march....so pretty soon ,I'm waiting for the 1AA body for my L2d......If you thought the L1D was bright...wait till you see how bright it is on a good set of rechargeables or lithiums ..

Anybody who knows the price? Or if there will be a packet deal?

I just got impatient and bought the L1D and L2D, it's much easier to swap the whole light
than to swap the head and tail each time I want to go from 1AA to 2AA

i think i will stick on L1D w/ sets 14500 though it will not function low and med
brighter than L2D. and if you go for all functions just use NIMH or lithiums

Probably best to just email David about it since he knows what he'll be charging ... or maybe not. :)

Is the head of the L1D and L2D the same? If they aren't wouldn't it make more sense to buy the L2D and then buy a L1D body? I'm only asking this because I remember how the L2P was more efficient than the L1P.

I send Finex a email asking the same question and the answer i got was this..

Hi David,

Both the L2D CE and the L1D CE use the same head.
Because of this, you will be able to use the same head on either the L1D
body or the L2D body.

Regards,
Gary
