CR2-ION, McR-17XR, Piglet, TiCN - FINISHED!!

Once again, my project is in waiting for Jonathan mode =D I sent the TI body in for coating

EDIT: Now that my JIL 1.3W mod is done, time to move onto a project that was on hold.

I wasn't too happy with the stock heatsinking and also, I had to make sure the led gnd was isolated so I came up with my own heatsink. It won't even get warm because it will be driven at 350ma on high.

And finally, this is a mock up. I haven't epoxied everything yet. The light will be host to a Piglet board set to 50-350ma for regular primaries and rechargeables.

Oh, and you can see the slight scratches near the upper part of the reflector. Gonna refine my machining process and get it right!!!

Welcome welcome. This mod is for the CR2-ION. With a little searching, you will see how wonderful the little light is. Completely different beast from the JIL LR and 1.3W mod. Cheers!

With a Piglet and McR reflector, this one's gonna rock!

which Cree is actually install in the CR2-Ion?
The one with 3 bonding wires or the one with 4 bonding wires?

Mine is the one with the 4 bond wires...
