Found a OP-Reflector that fits the L1D-CE perfect, and it gives it a nice and smooth beam, like Fenix should have done if you ask me.

The reflector comes from the new Lumapower M3, it fits the treads of the L1D-CE perfect! it did not do anything else than unscrew the reflector from the M3 and L1D-CE, then screwed on the reflector from the M3 over to my L1D-CE.

Looks interesting. I'm sure you must lose a little throw, but do you also lose some spill?

Spill is the same, maybe a tiny bit wider but not much. Throw is actually not bad, will post some pics when it gets dark here in Denmark :)...

Some new beam shots, the distance is about 12-14m, both beam shots is with 14500 3.7v Li-Ion battery on High.

whc,

Have you had the opportunity to try the smooth reflector of the L1D CE in the M3 ? I'd be curious to know how the M3 would compare to the L1D; when both are using a non-textured reflector.

please, can anybody test if the reflector from the LM30x fits to??

i'm waiting for my P3D :grin2: and still have a LM301.
would be a better choice than the 4sevens - reflector. and much cheaper!!

So the only question is where can we buy spare M3 reflectors?

The reflector from L1D-CE will not fit the M3, the treads from the stock smooth L1D-CE reflector is too long to fit, since the inner of the M3 bezel don't have treads all the way down/up to the lens like L1D-CE...

Got mine from Lumapower at $10 each (got two), but be careful, another user has got a difference reflector when he ordered the reflector from M3, that should not fit/work with the L1D-CE, se more here: http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=159973

Make sure you get the one/kind in my first post.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:good job whc!

Thats what Fenix should do to make the rings disappear.

I love the beam of my Lumapower LM30x lights, all moded with SSC-P4 Emitters.

I guess the geometry on those reflectors is the same.

Whc, does the GID o-ring on the M3 fit the Fenix?

EDIT: sorry, just saw your response on the other thread. I guess it's worth trying when I get my own reflector...
