For about a year I have had a Streamlight Key-Mate on my key ring. It is well made and only about 2 inches long. But the output is quite poor, especially in light of the recent jump in L.E.D. performance. So, would it be possible to mod my Key-Mate with something like a Cree? I don't care how long it runs, as long as it is bright. I've just ordered a Fennix L0D CE for my key ring for when I need a reliable light. But I would hate to see my old Mate go onto the shelf. Ideas?
