I am trying to identify the correct Carley Xenon bipin bulb for my Scorpion. The Scorpion manual says battery life is 1 hour and a bulb should last about 5 battery changes. Only 5 hours per lamp suggest that they are overdriving a lower voltage bulb (lower than 6 volts).
Can anyone outhere help me identify the correct bulb for this light?
By the way I am in South Africa where a replacement bulb for the Scorpion costs the same as a dinner for two with wine at a good restaurant!!!

Brock's site shows that the bulb draws 1.10 amps at 4.8 volts if that helps you narrow things down.

The short answer: It is a 4.8 "design voltage" bulb.

Flashlight manufacturers often don't tell you the voltage of their lamps because voltage drop takes more than a quick phrase to explain. Also 4.8 sounds wimpier than 6.0.

Bulb manufacturers typically tell you the "design voltage" of a bulb and may suggest that it be used with a certain number of a certain type of either rechargable or primary cells of a certain size.
