Is the streamlight septor circuit board useful?

Hey guys, I have this new LED headlamp that is basically identical to the streamlight septor. It has 7 leds and has a clicky that can turn on 1,3,7 leds based on how many times you click it. What I am asking is that could the circuit board in these be useful in say an led flashlight to give varying power levels? Does this light direct drive the leds or do something else. I got this headlamp for 60c and was wondering if i could use the internals. The circuit board seems to be circular inside as if it was made for a flashlight.
