Today I received my 1x18650 Leefbody and Leefgrip from lighthound. Combine those with the Z44 bezel + WE 3.7V LA and the Z48 clickie I received earlier this week from a fellow CPFer (thanks kakster!) and this is what you get:

A nice and beefy light, with a million good was to hold it. I was really surprised by how well the Leefgrip and Z48 matched eachother (not in color, but in outer diameter).
Now I have to wait for my Cree drop-in pre-ordered from PTS, and it will have great runtime too... 130 lumen, 180 minutes regulated...

I'm happy, just needed to share :)

That looks really good.

I got a leef 18500, a z58 (wanted to keep it short) and a Litemania Cree drop in.

Now all I need is an 18500, currently using an 17500.

I just built a leef 1 cell also. Looks pretty similar. Although mine is a 18500. I am running a Z41 tail cap on it, but I did try my Z48 with a LeefGrip and it worked better than I tought it would have. Very controllable momentary operation in the combat grip but still able to click by squeezing harder. It ran for a little over 2 hours with my Lighthound Cree drop in on 1 AW 18500.

Its kind of funny. I was still calling mine a Surefire even though the tailcap was the only SF part on it. (GP bezel) I guess I should call it "SF based". I am just waiting for leef tailcaps and then it will be a total imposter.

I'm just building almost the same setup, same switch and body just waiting for the bezel and cree dropin to turn up in the post.

P.S. not too sure what colour your body is but mine is a very close match to the HA natural Z48.

The body is matching the head and tailcap quite nicely. But the Leefgrip is a completely different color. While the head, tail and body are the usual shades of greenish grey (or greyish green if you please), the grip is almost like a flat grey.

Oh and I think I'll be getting another tailcap in a while, for when I want to run this light in a somewhat more pocketable version... A Z58 or maybe a Leefclickie...

also just tested the 'tactical' grip... works great in combination with my FB Record 4.5mm airgun

what's a leef?

Leef is one of the fine gentlemen on this forum who make very nice Surefire compatible flashlight parts... Most of them are sold by lighthound ( http://www.lighthound.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=328 )

there are a few threads running about Leefs products too:
