Time to break out the digital camera and see how the new generation of emitters compares in some of my favorite lights.

all pics at 1/2 sec, no ambient light, aimed at the windowsill and the results speak for themselves.
Enjoy!

This has been where the draco has lived for the last week or so. I LOVE this light, the most underhyped light on cpf right now. Modamag has more improvements on the horizon as well. Big cheers to Modamag and his Draco!

Why did it take you 5 minutes to do all but the last one, but the last one took 15 minutes? :grin2: Did you have to find the batteries? :)

I sold my Q3-SSC, I hope the recipient is enjoying it, it was much like your beamshot. :goodjob:

no, I'm an idiot. forgot to shoot it and started transfering and uploading. had to set the camera back up:ohgeez:

hope everyone enjoys:grin2:

FYI, the FFIII is my favorite of all, with the HDS a close second.

Re: Seoul and Cree Beamshot Mania!

I see you modded a Millermods L1P swapping the original Lux led with a WO Seoul.
Did you do this mod yourself ? Easy to do ?

I have both Millermods L1P (SWOH) and Millermods L2P (UWOJ), and it will be cool to me to replace the original LED with SSC P4 USWOH.

Is the swapping easy ? I can easy swap the led, but I don't know if the Seoul has the same size than the Luxeon led to fit in the heatsink base.
Did you need some work to the stock reflector, or maybe need to install a completely new reflector compatible with Seoul led ?

Thank you for any help.

Re: Seoul and Cree Beamshot Mania!

Flash do not attempt to do a direct swap of the luxeon in the Fenix for seoul without isolating the slug it has the polarity reversed, do a search for this mod.

I put a Seoul UWOH to replace a SXOH in my regular L2P but find the upgrade as bright as the original Luxeon or even a bit dimmer. What gives? Did I have an overachieving luxeon or an underachiving SSC?

AWESOME job Pumaman!

A shot of the FF3 on burst might be worthwhile, just for kicks!

very easy, no reflector mod. just isolate the slug as already indicated.

Pumaman,
Great pics. For the "Q3 with seoul on RCR123", which seoul was this? The WO or VO? Did you use the original driver that came with the Q3?

My Q3 may be my next victim...er..LED swap candidate :grin2:

Thanks!

Amazing! You can't even see that fan or the cat unless you're using the Draco!

I think he moved the door, but maybe the Draco provides some type of x-ray effect and conjurs a cat (spoken sarcastically):lolsign:.

um...
The cat is only there for the Draco shot as well as the fan. The other pics dont even show the cat and the fan because they aren't visible.
