I was looking for new Cree lights (I know, I have a problem) and I came across Ultrafire's site and found this flashlight:

I have their C2 which I like, would this one be brighter or does it have any other benifits over the C2? I did a search for it, but came up nada...any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I have the one from Kaidomain. I like it a lot. Probably a bit less bright than the CREE C2 overall but I think the throw might be stronger. Tried it on the beach in Myrtle Beach and it made quite a light saber in the sea mist air. I was quite impressed with it. Bargain for $25 IMHO. My fatest protected 18650 fits easy. It is two stage switch also. High-Low-Off.

8 WATTS is really an over-driven 5 watt light. There's no such thing as an 8watt led. Lol :D

I also doesn't burn anywhere near 8W. Judging from the runtime plot of this light at Kaidomain, it looks like it consumes less than 3W on average, which is good -- high power consumption means short battery life... I don't konw why manufacturers are so eager to inflate the watts figure...

Judging from Kai's on figures, the Lux @ 1M is about 3800, as opposed to over 6000 for the C2. Kai's lumen figure is 85 for this light, 100 for the C2.

Thanks again! I would not have been happy to buy the light and have it be less bright than my C2. I really appreciate it.
