Hey, thanks for the link l_e_d. I agree with all your points and good review by the way. I'm very happy with my Stinger LED and think its great - but find it kinda interesting that just about all I read about here on CPF is Surefires.

The stingerLED is a great light. I sold mine to a fireman. It is the only non Cree light that I miss. If you have the extra money, I would by the rechargable version. It comes with the AA pack as well, but it is so nice just to throw the thing on the base every night and always have a full batt when needed.

Are you talking about the stinger, or the survivor led? I wasn't aware the stinger led came with an alkaline batery pack.
