L1S head on two cells?

I have a Fenix L1S. I was wondering: is the head the same of the L2S? I was thinking of wiring an external 2-AA holder to have more runtime and a bit more light, but I don't want to let the magic smoke out...
Also: what's the maximum voltage I can run it at?

No, the head of L1S is not the same as L2S. The head of L1T is the same as L2T. If you wired up the L1S to two AA cells, it will be history.
