Ok, I've looked over and searched as best as
I can and can't find the answers to these questions:

1, Is the AAA's LED over-driven?

2, If it's over-driven then what is the LED's burn time going to be?
(I.E. 100,000 or 10,000 hours)

3, There is a 3mm (or 1/16") gap between
the head/LED and the body/battery when the light is on.
The O-ring bearly gets inside the body when the little is off.
Should the gap really be this wide?
Is there a reason for the gap because
I sure don't like how it looks.

4, I wanted to see what Moon-Mode looked
like so I put a DEAD battery in it and
waited 3 hours for it to be dead enough
to go in to Moon-mode, Then I wanted to
see how much more Sun-mode it could do
so I would turn it off (wait 5 seconds,
so it doesn't go right back to Moon-mode)
and turn it back on....NOTHING not even a
blink! But if I leave it on for 2 1/2-3 minutes when it comes on is this normal?

And one quick idea for a switch could you
redesign it so if you put the "+" up it
acted as it does now But if you put it in
"-" up it just does Moon-mode?

Thanks for the time

Hello Patrick and welcome to the board.
I need to be somewhat brief as I do not have all your answers.
1. I don't know.(maybe a little)
2. Don't worry about reduced time. It will last longer than when the next new model comes out.
3. This is normal for slight battery differences e.g size. If it bugs you to much, grind or melt some of the solder from the head (1-1.5mm). Do not do this if your not sure of your skills.
4. I had one in moon mode for many hours because I was an idiot and put it in my pocket lit.
4 1/2. No LED can be run backwards. They are a diode and a diode is one directional.

I hope this helps. I also hope someone with more info will follow up on my IDK's (I don't know).

Thanks for the answers.

(4 1/2) Yah, I know you can't run an LED
backwards. The idea was for the internal
electronics to auto switch from High to Low
depending on which way you put your battery
in, not to run the LED backwards.
