I just recently got a LSS white. Thanks Peter! This light rocks! However, I do have a question.
I know that by including 3 different battery holders, you can make the light more versatile. What's the difference in performance between the 3 holders? (double AA, single AA, 123) Right now, I'm using the double AA holder with my LSS.
Could someone explain the pros and cons to each holder? I'm curious. Thanks!

GNSteve,

I am not the expert on this but here goes...

1AA pack: not as bright as the 123 and the 2AA but probably the brightest single AA LED out there.

123 pack: slightly brighter than the 2AA with alkalines, but not quite as bright when lithium AAs are used. This package takes the smallest AND brightest LED crown hands down.

2AA pack: has the longest "bright" runtime.

Check out some previous threads on runtime.

Aloha

And I just received my LS second. The light works great (tested with 123's and 2 AA's). Obviously Peter is a detail guy as it shows in his work. This is an impressive piece of engineering. Getting this light to market must be driving him nuts...

...Best of luck to you, Peter. Thanks for selling me such a nice torch to keep my Surefire's company!
