Get your wallets out guys, this last Arc won`t be going cheap.

As Darell so aptly put it... "Be afraid. Be very afraid...."

Well, I'm keeping out of this one. I've got a wedding to save for..

Then again, 2 brass Arc AAAs..hmm..they are nice and shiny..
A real flashaholic wedding..

Naah. I think if I tried that my fiance would find new and interesting ways to inflict pain on me...

Go for it, Graham! More pain on your part is a risk we`re all willing to take.

$17.77 shy of the record price. Whoever wins this one will be supporting the CPF in grand style I see.

My plan is to snipe at the last second. Admit it, you guys. You're worried. You know my job pays better than anybody else's. You have NO HOPE of winning this thing. Five days to go... I'm getting my second mortgage papers together...

Ah, yes! Life is good.

This auction will make LED history. It will become a true urban legend.

Boy...I can hardly wait.

And with that, it is already the most expensive Arc ever. Cool. Now I wonder if it'll be the most expensive single-LED flashlight ever...

Good job, JonSidneyB.

It`ll be interesting to see where the bid ends up.

All for a good cause...long live the CPF!

JonSidneyB...

Your efforts are not going unnoticed. Good job.

And good luck to all of the bidders.

I`ll be out of this hunt. I just received my second brass Arc. Very beautiful...and IMHO well worth the high dollars being spent on Ebay. And for such a good cause.

On the other hand, I just bought a 19th century Ross brass microscope, and I`m going to pause for just a short time to get my financial breath.

Good luck, guys. I`ll be watching!

Carpe Diem - I used to have a brass Ross bar limb. Fascinating instrument. It "disappeared" in a move from Virginia to California about 34 years ago and the insurance company gave me about $100 for it then, as best I recall. I still miss it. Enjoy.
