Hello,
I would like to go to the best 1AA flashlight.
Throw is important, overall output also, run time is not a problem.
I think about fenix L1D, good choice or is there a better one ?
Thanks for advise.
A plus would be it could take a 14500.

Well if price is not an issue, the world's best 1AA flashlight is Arcmania's Maxlite Extreme. It'll cost you $275, but the quality on it is unsurpassed. Otherwise there are so many you could look at. Jetbeam makes a couple good ones as well as Lumapower and Liteflux. And lets not forget about the Rexlight 2.0 being in the mix. Basically, you've got LOTS of choices...

Deal Extreme VIPPA, upgraded to Seoul would be one to consider.

Don't know much about these Fenix, HuntLight, JetBeam, LiteFlux, LumaPower, RexLight and the like, but I did chance upon the Fenix L0D CE Cree X-Lamp that runs on a single (1) AAA (not AA) battery. It can also be powered by the 10440 rechargeable 3.6V Lithium battery. I was impressed with this little torcher!

Hope you find what you're looking for and Enjoy!

I also really like my (old style) Fenix L1+SS. These are hard to come by however but
they will run a 14500 cell. Something about SS.

I recently got the Amilite T5 and I have to let it go because of my Stainless Steel Civictor. The Amilite kills it in many department but there is something about the SS.

The Fenix L1d, not too good but not too bad light. It's okay for the price. Same as with SS Civictor. But if you want the quote: "best 1AA flashlight", then Arcmania's Maxlite Extreme is the one to get.

I have two modified 1AA fenix that are 3 stages by Millermods Highest stage is 1.8 watts. Lowest run about 24 hours and is plenty for night adapted eyes. These are about 75-80% efficient wide open which is amazing for a 1.8 watter. Not sure if anyone else achieved that efficiency using a 1.2 volt AA nickel hydride.

Anyways, I still have not traded it for anything else given the 3 stager and twist head to control power. The only problem is that Millermods is not longer making AA units.
