I have a Corona and for close up work it is great. You can vary the number of LEDs that are lit and you can choose two light levels on each of those settings. If you are not concerned about color rendition (uses nichia 5mm bulbs) this thing is great.

Coming from someone that owns both the PT Apex and Corona, I would say get the Corona for your needs. The Apex is my personal favorite, but the Corona is my go-to for close-up work or anything indoors....
