Hi to all,

Been using AW's high caps R123s 3.7v to power up the KL4 in single cell config and I find that the runtime for high output quite frustrating. Considered the 17670 and there are many using this size and getting better runtime. However 1500/1600 although higher capacity han the R123s, I think using the bigger 18650 would justify the costs better. Therefore is there such a body that can accomodate the 18650 and can fit the KL4 head ?

Thanks in advance for all the help/advice

Have a good day. :)

I am not sure if this is what you were looking for ...
I have been able to bore out a E2e body to accomodate a 18650 unprotected cell ..

Cool Ledean,

I just measured my existing E2E black body and the head opening is around 17.1mm whereas the TC opening at 13.90mm. I've also noticed that at the tailcap end is a collar of dia 12.90mm which I figure to be the endstop for the battery.
I've also noticed that the 18650 does not have a button top. How much higher must we add to the top of the terminal for effective contact with the head's contact?

Don't have my digital calipers with me right now but I would say it is about 2mm shorter than two Cr123 batteries . The problem is easily solved by adding a small magnet to the positive terminal.
