Has anyone put a cree in a polystinger. The Led stinger is just too big for my liking. I would like to give my old polystinger a led upgrade.

I have a Poly Stinger as well and would like to convert it. The only conversion kit I have see can be found here

I can't find a price on the HP upgrade kit, but since the whole thing puts out less light than the original, I don't think it's worth it. I'm hoping somebody can do a special one off mod for me, which would probably work out better in the long run anyway.
I'm also looking to upgrade my almost brand new Survivor LED to a Cree

I don't think it's possible. The switch/bulb mount would have to be heavily modded, and the Poly's body would not conduct the LED's heat sufficiently.

That is the only drawback on the new Stinger LED......the larger size. I think they did that for a reason though.....compatability with older Stinger chargers. Totally re-designing the light would have probably meant designing a new charger too.
I really think a Strion LED (with a cree or seoul P4) would appeal to the LEO community.
