I just ordered a Pepper Pad 3 so I can relax on the couch while surfing. :grin2:

To me it seems perfect , a PDA is too small, an UMPC too expensive.

Anybody else have one?

Thanks for the offer, but I need to stay in shape, so the finger lifting is imperative...

As far as I know a USB host is something like a USB hub which takes one USB port & does USB expansion as well as the origonal task for that gadget.

A USB Device is a gadget that requires the use of a USB cable to opperate/update, eg a USB printer.

Please correct me if Im wrong.

Usb host port is a normal usb plug, usb device port is a small one, like the ones for a printer I think.

edit: just beaten by dr jekell.... :grin2:

Looks pretty sweet B@rt !

One USB port is so the Pepper itself can connect to your computer.
Just like you would plug in your camera, webcam, etc. to your computer.

The other will be so you can plug a USB device into the Pepper.
Like plugging a print, webcam, camera into it.

That looks sweet.
It's running Linux so you got tons of software available out there.. either cross compile on your big box or take ages on the pepper pad. The only concern is the weak cpu. Although if it can run firefox it should be good enough for most things.

Now I want one :)

It has been reported that the memory is easy to upgrade to a gig, that should help as well if you want anything else besides the pepper software. :goodjob:

So, Bart, have you received you Pepper Pad? If so, how do you like it? Is it even to navigate the web? How about typing?

No I don't have it yet, my friend shipped it this week because he wanted to play with it first... :twak:

The keyboard will obviously take some getting used to, but most of the comments I read about it are very positive. ;)

If you want to check out the software you can download the Pepper desktop for Windows and try it. :)

Well, it arrived this afternoon.

WOW! This thing is nice.... :D
It has a matte black outside that feels a bit rubbery and looks great/.

Online in minutes, and surf's up dude.
Obviously the keyboard needs some getting used to, but the first impression is positive.

Overall impression: Go get one!. :p
