14500 in a L1D?

Has anyone experienced any ill effects running a 14500 cell in a L1D. It's specs show a max input voltage of 4.2v, so on paper it seems to be O.K. Has anyone tried this that can give some feedback? Will the light be brighter? Will the light levels still function? ...Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
plenty of people running it on 14500 here (though not me). Don't know about the long time effect, but I'm guessing it's marginal since it's within Fenix's own specs. It will be significantly brighter, allthough you will lose the levels. Everything will have the same brightness.
