I recently had a chance to examine 4-5 LP Cree M1s fresh in the box. (sorry no pictures)
My observations:
1. all the emitters had some stains on the dome.
2. the tail cap has a small visible gap on one side due to uneven machining?
3. The emitter assembly is not concentricly threaded.
4. Had some flickering issues, not anymore.
5. Ocassionally light would not turn on unless I slap it really hard with my hand
6. dunked it in a glass of water for 15 minutes, no leaks.
