Hi, i have purchased a fenix l2t, and it says 10lumens (low), and 55 (high). Now from what i understand, that's "claimed" not actual lumens, now @ it's "high" setting, I find this pretty impressive, but i would like something smaller and more powerful, is there anything from surefire with a nice lense to scope the beam with more power than the alleged "55 lumens" from the l2t ? keep in mind that's all i have as to base a comparison, i want a torch that will take up a shorter stance coz i want to edc it, at the ready. but small enough so people dont look twice and say "why do u carry a torch??" instead fob it off for some mobile phone accessory or insuline pod or something.. stealth is also key is what i'm getting at. any help advice or sledging is welcome...

cheers again

Fenix usually have their lumen rating 20% higher then what come out the front.

Go for the L1D-CE, brighter and pretty good in size. If you buy from Fenix-Store, there is a 8% discount code (I think is is cpf8, but not sure) which makes the L1D-CE only $6 more expensive. The L2D-CE is a bit longer and wider then the L2T but twice as bright and has more modes.

Or you could get the L0D-CE for your keychain. Even smaller, runs on AAA batteries.

The Fenix LOD-CE, used with a 10440 li-ion rechargeble battery is very small and very bright at over 100 lumens. You can get the light, a couple of batteries and a charger for around $65. I have 2 of these and like them very much.

The CR2-Ion is very short and it now available with XR-E LED For about $200

The Orb Raw is also a CR2 powered light and also comes with XR-E LED.

The Orb Ns is smaller than the Ion or Raw but uses a more speciallized li-ion only battery. http://www.lummi.co.uk/sor.php I have one of these and love it.

+1 for the L1D-CE. Great regulated output on an L91 Lithium. Turbo mode is 90 lumens advertised.

+2 on the L1D-CE. Great for EDC. If you get the L2D body too, you can get 135 lumens (advertised) on 2AAs.

If you're fine with the head-twisting and reverse-clicky of the Fenix, get the L1D-CE and feed it Lithium or NIMH. A touch wider than your L2T, fairly short, easily pocketable, and up to around 60 'real' lumens for nearly two hours on decent NIMH cells.

Based on Quickbeam's tests, it's not up to advertised lumens, but is still very bright.
