Just thought I would mention this here. Anyone who has a Dell Inspiron 9300 and has developed the vertical lines on the screen should check:

Dell will repair it even though the laptop is out of warranty, which is great. I was just about to purchase a new LCD screen and did a quick check on google and found out dell decided to take care of the problem.
When I sent my laptop off yesterday, I had over 40 vertical lines across the screen. Cant wait to get it back.
