Fenix L1D, L2D & P2D heads, are they all the same?

Just seen the review of the P2D CE on "FlashlightReviews". Compared to the L2D CE, the 2x AA body gives slightly better overall performance on maximum than the 1x CR123 body. So the highest output Fenix 3V light is still the L2D CE. I am looking forward to getting some spare bodies for some versatility.

All the heads should be the same. If you see better performance with the same voltage, it is likely just sample variation... (assuming the battery chemistry and internal resistance is not limiting performance of course).

ok, so, the output of a 1x CR123 3V should be the same as a 2x AA 3V with the only difference being in the run time, correct?

Yes. Almost identical output. Differences just due to manufacturing variation.
