Up for sale is a pewter 2C Mag running 3 Lux III stars on a copper heatsink, Fatman driver with external dimming pot, a cell adapter tube, and additional custom machine work I have had performed.

I believe that this is the identical light featured in this thread:
https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/88127

I have had additional custom machine work performed on the light:
The head has been finned, and a custom knob fabricated for the pot with dual O-rings for grip.

The light has been a shelf queen and is in mint condition. Close inspection reveals some pin-sized marks on the head and bezel end, but no missing anodize or other flaws.

This light can run off either 3 X R123, 2 X 17500, or 2 X 18500. Do not run 3 X R123 or you will fry the Fatman. Icarus' awesome cell adapter has a machined aluminum end cap which protects the cells from deformation due to spring pressure.

Also included are a pair of new unused AW 18500 cells, protected, 1500 mA.

Asking $290, $275, $250 PP or MO, cash or credit fine, shipped Priority Mail insured in the US. International by GPM, not insured, add $7.

Standard CPF sales thread rules apply.

Is there a lens in the light? I can't see one.

you mean it's ok to run off 3 x "cr123" but Not 3 x R123 right?
Correct. 12V is the max Vin for the Fatman, and it's accurate.

I'll include a pair of brand new AW 18500 cells that have never been used.
I've dropped the price a bit as well.

What a great light! I wonder if Peak saw this when they started on the Volcano?

How easily do you think one could swap in some Seoul stars?

mcmc,

The stars are thermal epoxied to the sink, which is held to the head by 3 slotted screws. To replace the stars you'd have to desolder the leads to the sink, remove it, and possibly use some heat to soften the epoxy.

You could then shorten the reflectors for proper focus, and either shim the Seoul stars or use a thicker lens to maintain the proper dimensions. Another option would be to use the new 20mm Khatod reflectors for the Seoul; PhotonFanatic has them. The Khatod would have the advantange of centering on the emitter.

In short it is possible, but not simple.

This is a aswome light from one of the best modders on this forum.
Dont let this pass by folks.
The trimpot is the most intuitive switch there is.
I just love it.
I wish there were more lights using this No nonsense way to control your light level.

Good luck on this sale :)
And to the buyer! Welcome to the mile high club in flashlights :D

Thanks Edwin, Mike, and Benny for the kind words.

Icarus' work speaks for itself and it is indeed a great light.

dj, the bin code is TWOJ, nice, white, and bright.

I received a PM and the light is sold pending funds.

Thanks again everyone!
