E1/LOD-CE Question

I just recieved an e-mail from The Fenix Store stating that the LOD-CE will not be available in the natural finish, so I was thinking of swapping out the internals of my LOD-CE into an E1 (natural finish) to make a "natural" LOD-CE. Does anyone know if the heads/bodies of the E1 and LOD-CE are even interchangeable?

The heads/bodies of the E1 and LOD-CE are interchangable. However, I'm not sure that anyone has ever taken the guts (light engine) out of the center section of either an E1 or LOD. I'd check into this before proceeding.
