New Cree die?

I just received the Q2-binned Cree XR-Es from Bernhard's group buy.
They seem to have 4 bond wires on the die, rather than the three on the last batch (P4 binned). Has anyone noticed this before?
Do we learn anything from this?
I will try to take a photograph, but my macro lens is absent.

The P4 XR-Es I have (all bought from hxm over the last 6 weeks) seem to have four wires.

On the positive edge of the die is a slowly converging pair of wires coming from the corners of the 'outer die', and which don't meet.
On the negative edge is another pair of wires coming from the corners of the 'inner die', which converge at about the same angle, but which, starting off closer together, do meet.

Some ultrafire lights also seem to have this "new" dye with 4 bond wires... the ones with 4 is very yellowish tint. How are the tints on yours?

They seem bascially white to me (they're supposed to be WC tint).

Sticking some in a light I lent to a friend, they weren't obviously different in colour to the SWO bin SSC P4s I was using in my light.

Good photo- that's just like the new ones I just received.
I can't get a good photo of the old ones, but they clearly have only three wires.....
I wonder if this is connected to the re-rating of the XR-E to 1000mA???

I noticed this yesterday when my Q2 came from Bernhard

Here is Q2 on left and "old"p4 on right

and Q2 on star

As you can see the area under die where the bond wires goes is larger in new design
