For those that have taken notice, there have been comments made discouraging the use of the Cafe for blogging type threads, and simple threads consisting of nothing more than a link. A thread should at least have commentary regarding the thread writer's views of the link topic, and especially the thread topic.

A thread created of nothing more than a link is far too similar to the function and purpose of the many "shared bookmark" sites. You find a site that interests you, and you record it on the bookmark site. Since the bookmark access is shared, others are able to visit the site too. We're hoping that threads created on a flashlight board consists of more, even those in the off-topic forum like the Cafe.

The topic of the link involved here, should it receive any degree of discussion, will involve political discussion that is likely more oriented toward our Underground forum.
