I just murdered the T bin Lexeon LED in the Fenix L2T and fit in a TSWOH Seoul LED. Beam is so much whiter and brighter. Another get away 'murder'!

Snipinglight, that is a BEAUTIFUL mod:goodjob:

It's just damn amazing that a fellow CPF'r can do this great mod,
yet a big company like Fenix has the nerve to sell me something
like this on my P2D. Never again is all I can say.:scowl:

If you would ever want to mod my P2D with some Seoul,
I'd gladly send it over to you:grin2:

I have also developed my own tools to open up the Fenix converter easily without the boiling and heating method. Opens beautifully and retains the thread on both. Use the same tool to assemble it. Here is a picture of the converter I have built. Emitter is dead center and evenly epoxy under. Enjoy!

Kid9P thanks for the comment. Why do u want to replace the Cree? Its almost as bright as the Seoul. I did it becos my Luxeon was yellowish and not bright enough. By the way where are you residing?

Hey Sniping, I'm over at NYC.

The hotspot on the cree (Being off centered) is just not clean.
I'd rather have a nice round defined hotspot and a centered seoul emmiter.
As long as I can retain it's throw, I'd be happy.

The problem is cause by the metal ring or reflector in the Cree emitter or is the hotspot off centre, that is bad. Fenix should have use orange peel type reflector.

I dont know if a Seoul could work with the current P2D reflector. I doubt so becos the angle of Cree and Seoul is too far off, but Luxeon and Seoul are very close, thus the mod is a success.

Hi Sniplight,

Great mod isn't it? I did something similar in an L1P. Except I installed Flupic. I also counterbored the reflector to allow the Seoul to move in about .030" for optimal focus. Talk about a surprise from a small package!
