Flashlight Enthusiast
Heya guys,
I've just recently begun to catch up with things after a long absence and one of the things which I've been reminded I need to look into is the Flashlights Review Database (FLDB), here : http://lights.lightrefineries.org/fldb/
For those who haven't heard of the project yet, FLDB was originally concieved as a 'voice for the little man'. Not everybody has the time and energy to run an entire flashlight review site but would still like to write a mini-review to help others. Mini can be as short as a few sentences (or as much as you would write in a post to CPF), you can be brief, but you can still be concise and helpful. More importantly, FLDB also serves as a community resource where you can read multiple independent opinions from many people at one glance. For an example of the U2 Digital Ultra, please see here:
http://lights.lightrefineries.org/fldb/detail.php?id=23
Problem with FLDB: the lights database gets out-of-date as new lights appear on the scene. (sincere apologies to MatthewDanger who I think was trying to contact me while I was away to update the DB)
This is where I need your help... if there are lights you would like to see on the DB, or want to help compile a list of new lights, just post here in this thread. Follow this format:
Manufacturer Name
---------------------------------
Website address
1. Name of the new model of light
2. Name of the new model of light
etc. as many as you need
Example:
Big Huge Light Co
-----------------
"BigHugeLightCompany"
(Moderator note: Fake link caused a problem - edited out.)
1. BHLC Cree1Super
2. BHLC Cree2Extreme
3. BHLC Cree3Ultimate
4. BHLC Seoul1Super
5. BHLC Seoul1Super
6. BHLC Seoul1Super
Please also feel free to contribute a review of a light. Even if others have contributed, you can still add your own.. the more reviews the better.
Otherwise feel free to simply have a read: http://lights.lightrefineries.org/fldb . Hope this DB benefits the community in some way or other while I don't have time to write my own reviews on the main site.
