MagCharger battery stick authentication?

I just purchased a 5 1/2D pack from:
http://www.copsplus.com/prodnum3195.php

The picture looks like it was taken from the Mag website. The page lead me to believe I was ordering an original Mag product but the Mag logo does not appear on the battery nor does the Mag part number however, it does say "Made in China" on the shrink wrap.

I'm thinking this is not an original part? How can I tell if its authentic?

You already purchased the product and are NOW asking about its authenticity?

Have you ever heard of people promising one thing then delivering another?

I would suggest you call Mag Lite at 800 289-6241 and ask them if their replacement battery packs are made in China.

My MagCharger's current battery (purchased 2 + yrs. ago) is labeled "BYD Company/Made in China." I don't recall which on-line seller I bought it from.

While I use this light infrequently, this battery has given me no problems. That it still holds a full charge may be a testament to its reliability.

From Googling "BYD Company" I learned that they're a major manufacturer of all kinds of batteries... AND automobiles! They employ 90,000 people and are based in Shenzen, a big industrial area where Fenix flashlights are also made.
