Good for the price, but you need to pay attention to the quality as some people have received SSCP4 stars from DX that have had the emitter mounted in reverse polarity or not making good contact with the star plate.

As for converters, here in the US the Sandwhich Shoppe has a good selection (though not everything is always in stock):

Hang about, make sure the website has its facts right. It lists it as an SSC P4, and then in the spec, describes it as a CREE 7090 emitter. The SSC uses the same die, BUT it is not the same emitter. Just you be careful

I have dismantled three of the Seoul stars and out of the three two had thermal paste under them and one had NOTHING. No paste, just bare contacts. I popped the LED in my large DHS heatsink and it is now happy as can be.
