Jetbeam C-LE mode issue

I just received a Jetbeam C-LE Version 2. In order to switch between modes (med/low/high/strobe/sos) i have to on/off/on the light in less than .25 seconds.

I have the first version and i can wait a few seconds after turning the light off and it will progress to the next mode.

Does anyone else have problems cycling between the modes on their new C-LE?

I have the same problem. Batch from Dealextreme.

My DX C-LE is plagued with the same issue, that's why I took a chance and ordered the Version 1.2. Sounds to me like they didn't "improve" much.
Aside from that, how's the output and PWM frequency. Is there noticeable flickering in the low and medium modes?

I'm wondering if this "reprogramming" wasn't done on purpose as "payback" for DX bucking the distributor agreement.

Maybe this batch was a bunch of rejects. The .25 second thing is pretty annoying :rant:
