Where did this heat come from?

98F Where I live.

Man I hear you, im in cali too, in the san joaquin valley, I'm just dreading whats coming too. And the pull cord for my ceiling fan just broke.

Well if worse come to worse, theres the AC, but like a whole lot of things, once you start using it, you dont want to not use it, especially because it's gonna get a whole lot worse.

I took the fan apart, gotta get a new pull switch from home depot or something.

The crazy thing is here, a week ago it was cold.

Here in San Jose, the temp is reading 86 degrees F (my place that is). . .with a nice breeze.

I was thinking of Mojitos/-es, instead I'm drinking lots of ice cold water with sliced cucumber.

83 here in Tenerife, very dry

82F and 25% humdidity, 5-10 mph breezes by the Pacific.. hosed down the West side of the house for a little moist cooling..

Pretty hot down here too. Aside from the office area, the warehouse I'm now working in is not air conditioned. You could feel a drastic change in temperature between 2 feet off the ground to about standing height (6 feet)

Lately, I've been using my ceiling fan at night, but last night was the first night, this year, that I had a portable fan pointed on me. Yeah, it's starting to heat up!

Hope you guys cool off in the west. I fear for you in the fire season now due to the lack of rain in the so called rainy season. Stay safe.

Extremely hot here. I almost got burnt from touching my steering wheel.

We have the so called "Calima" here, Wind from the Sahara desert, Humidity 20%

You can see the island of Tenerife in about the middle of the picture, the Sahara on the right side and all the blowing sand:





And that´s how it looks like on the ground:

I felt like hairdryers were blowing through the windows in my car today. No, unfortunately I don't have AC. And it was only about 95. Holy crap its gonna be a hot, bone dry summer. Oh well, what else is new. Had to finally get a humidifier though. Those days with less than 10-15% humidity are a little tough.
