OK, maybe not saved, but it sure helped out a lot. Our Cub Scout pack enters a float in our local "Holiday" parade each year. It was held last night(Saturday) Along with many lights, we have a sleigh and plywood cutouts of reindeer pulling it. Rudolph has always had a painted red nose, but in the dark, you can't see it very well. A couple of years ago, I added a big red bulb in a socket at his nose. The person that was supposed to bring it back this year forgot it. I was bummed. But, I remembered that within my stash of a dozen or so flashlights I had on my person, I had a few ARCs. Whatdya mean I had too many flashlights???? The parade was gonna be after dark! Anyway, I grabbed a red and an orange ARC and taped one on each side of his nose. They both lit up the red paint pretty well, but if you looked from the front, it was really pretty bright! ARC saved the day again!
Thanks Peter!
