Hello there..
I'd really like to buy a light that is Red or Amber in output, that is either powered by 1 or 2 AA batteries.. Preferably not 5mm Leds, but something like a Lux1 or Cree.

Levels would also be nice, like a high and low, and electronics that can handle a variety of battery chemistries.

let me know if i'm looking for something that isn't feasibly possible..
Thanks

I have a nice amber Luxeon mod and a red one, run on one of Goldserve's FluPIC driver boards, each built into an old Arc LS shell, done by CPF's 'Mosport' -- these two are my favorite lights now for camping and any evening use; the amber one's on a little bungee as my late night reading light and at its lowest brightness seems like it's going to last forever.

Wayne will also build custom colors on his various driver boards; I have several of his standard white dropins in M@g 2xAA containers, bought over previous years, and they keep getting better.
