We have been using the ARC LS for the last couple of months in outdoor activities. The version we have is one of the non-waterproof models. How resistant is the internal electronics to water? After some river trips there were small drops inside the battery compartment. Not yet inside the lens though. Any danger of corrosion or are the electronics completely potted like the Opalec?
Until now we just left the LS open for a day or so for water to evaporate. This is however not quite practical during a 5 day+ trip.

I recommend you use our newer versions which have been shown so far to survive prolonged emmersion.

The older units did have potted electronics but the water may still get to the main contacts for the board.

The units we have are still the ones with the "longer" run times which, for our applications, I prefer. The newer versions are a bit brighter but with shorter runtimes, not so? Any of the "long" run time electronics with the new waterproof body around? Where, in your opinion are the water entering? At the lens, the bezel join or at the battery pack o-ring?
