Hi there,

Here's my contribution to the DIY Bike Light list.

I think most of us has seen the Ultrafire WF-502 flashlights:

Take a lathe to shorten the body tube, re-thread it and fit a "generic" CREE drop in:

Here's what you end up with:

Fit it to a Bike clamp:

Obviously for a bike I'll need 2 of these:

Get an extra WF-502 and make a new head:

Finally make a "Y" cable to connect to both lights. I can use either a 1x18650 body for a lightweight 1.5 hours run time of use a longer 2x18650 body for 3 hours run time.

Thanks for looking,

Bogus.

Thanks for the replies.

The quick release clamp is the "Minoura QB-90 Quick Release Bottle Cage Holder". You can unscrew the long flat part and I used an "L" bracket to bolt to the plastic light holder - which I got from a cheap 2dollar bike light. This give me full 360 degrees vertical and horizontal movement.
