If the M6 is a 9volt light, will a downboy 1000 or other converter board work with it or is the amperage to high?
Or will I just have extended runtime?

The bulbs for the M6 require high currents (4 amps for the MN21, foe example). A DB1000 will only supply 1 amp, so you'll get dismal performance out of the bulb I would have thought, although I haven't tried it myself....
Interesting thought though- everyone loves the idea of regulated incans!

Unlike LEDs, incan bulbs have no need for perfect DC (and PWM is completely unnoticeable), so the Willie Hunt LVRs used in the M6-R and A2 do not attempt to provide this.

What about using a tower mod with a converter board and LED in the M6? Would the amperage be to high?
