I have a JetBeam single AA with the five modes and the hidden mode and it just suddenly stopped working right after I got another one in the mail. (Almost like it was jealous or something). I'm trying to figure out what is wrong but don't know how to take it apart.

Any suggestions?

Heat the head for several minutes, then use gloves to twist it apart. If that fails, try heating again and use strap wrenches. So far, this method has not failed me.

FWIW, I use a coffee mug warmer to heat my lights. It seems to be the perfect temperature, and warms them evenly in less than 10 minutes.

How do you heat it? Do you lay the light on the warmer, hold it over the warmer, put it in a hot mug full of water???
