I put one of those excellent USVOI Seoul P4s' from Photonfanatic in a new L1 (current style) and I LLOOOVVE it. Brightness on high more than doubled. I'd put it around the 60 lumen range. Low is a little brighter but not too bright, about 5-ish lumens. I can't put it down! If anyone is considering this mod, don't hesitate! Its' my new EDC. I don't know if I will but a McR20 Seoul in there, since I like the throw it has, besides I don't think it will fit since the L1 head is shorter. Just my 2 cents!

Do you have pictures of the beam with the stock optic? I left my L1 the way you had it for a while, since like the throw, but the rings got to me so I put a McGizmo 20mm Seoul reflector in it.

It's a great light though with the SSC. The stock light was fine for indoors, but the SSC gives it enough output to make it useful outside as well.
