Does anyone have a MagLite 3/AA LED unit? I'd like to know if you can run something in it beside alkaline cells?

Yep, been using Duracell 2650 NiMH cells in mine since Labor Day.

Gives 4 hours of great light before the NiMH's "run outta' gas".

You'll love having "guilt-free lumens" !

I've used 2500mah Eveready NiMh and Sanyo Eneloops in my MagLED 2AA. I'd think if they work in the 2aa, they will work with the 3AA.

I also have been using Ni-MH in my MagLEDs, with no problems whatsoever.

Unlike the 2AA MagLED, which just blinks out when the batteries are low, the 3AA MagLED is a real battery squeezer.

It will just get dimmer and dimmer, never blinking out.

I tried to drain 3 AA alkalines, and there was still enough light to read by, even though each cells voltage was down to 0.975v each. Don't drain your rechargeables this low, it could damage them...:green:

Thanks for the feedback fellas',but one more thing. Does that 3rd battery give it more output than the 2/AA, or does it matter?
