Mostly for a proof-of-concept mod, so binning is less important.
See, I have one of the Ultrafire 602A1's with a high-threshold convertor. It works great with a fresh-off the charger NiMH, but turn it off and it stays off. Alkalines fare a little better, but they're not the best for high-draw applications like this. I'm using E2 lithiums right now, which work nicely but cost.

I've got a TWOH lux3 in there now, hoping the H vf would help, but no luck. The red and red-orange have about the lowest vfs, and having a different color would be nice.

Star or emitter is fine, as I said binning is unimportant.
Thanks, Jon

Just remember to isolate the slug as the slug is positive on the red luxeons and it will fry the bond wire inside if it touches negative.
